'The Culinary Princess’ OK Magazine

Sophie's favourite toy at three was a plastic cooker; by ten she wasbaking her own cakes and by fourteen her professional kitchen career started. Her favourite books were cookbooks, and her favourite pastime was eating good food… nothing much has changed!

Sophie moved to London and studied at Butler's Wharf Chef School to obtain her Advanced Chef Diploma (2000).  She then went to work in some of the capital's best restaurants, including The Greenhouse, The Lanesborough and The Embassy.

She competed in, and won numerous competitions, which resulted in her being nominated for The Craft Guild of Chefs 'Young Chef of the Year Award' at 19.

Always being interested in new subjects, Sophie looked into the nutritional side of food and discovered another passion ... healthy eating!  Sophie then became family chef for a world-famous supermodel for two years and cooked for various VIP clients.

Using her knowledge of healthy eating, she was Head Chef of Channel 4's  'The Fit Farm' programme (2004).

Sophie went on to publish her first cookbook  'IRRESISTIBLE' in March 2005 with Cassell Illustrated.

Sophie then got back in the kitchen as Executive Chef for 'Salt and Pepper Food Design', where she catered for fantastic events in and around London.  Clients included Veuve Clicquot, Maybelline, the Conservative Party, Square Meal and IMG (see links and contacts for more info on Salt and Pepper Food Design).

Sophie also worked on a luxury Bath and Beauty product range with Tesco, called Finest Gourmand, inspired by her two favourite desserts, Tarte au Citron and Vanilla Crème Brulee.

Sophie then wrote the Tesco in-store recipe cards and 'Count down to Christmas' magazine, 2007.

Sophie was one of four co-presenter's on the hit prime time TV show 'COOK YOURSELF THIN' Channel 4, 2007.

She also co-wrote the tie in book "Cook Yourself Thin: a delicious way to drop a dress size" Penguin, which was number three on the UK non-fiction paperback list 2007.

Sophie was then asked back as one of two co-presenters on the new year 'COOK YOURSELF THIN' Special, January 2008, Channel 4. (See TV and Magazine coverage, for full listings of Sophie’s television work).

Sophie writes a weekly column in GRAZIA magazine, called "Glamorous Gourmet" a monthly "Sophie Loves food" page for 'HEALTHY' Magazine and is one of 'TOP SANTE'S' monthly experts.

In 2008 Sophie was involved with the "Bring on the Salads" campaign and 'The Early Harvest’ Lindeman’s wine campaign  and  she also filmed a series of podcasts for 'Uncle Bens' to help busy mothers.

Sophie's latest book:  'FABULOUS FOOD, Sexy recipes for healthy living’  was published by Little, Brown. June 2008. She is now working on the next book.

Sophie occasionally judges Salon Culinaires (cooking competitions) and other Luxury food awards (most recently in the Bournemouth Food Show). She was also one of the supreme judges of 'The Great Taste awards.'

Sophie is also privileged to be on the board for the 'International Restaurant and Hotel Awards', LA and she presented an award at the Gala dinner, in Beverly Hills last Autumn.

Since returning from LA, Sophie was the MC on the 'How Do I?' Stage at the BBC GOOD FOOD show, Birmingham. Where she introduced world re-known chefs each day and then demo-ed herself.  Sophie also hosted the Miele stage at the Summer BBC GOOD FOOD Show.

Sophie continually films with 'MARKET  KITCHEN' (UK food and BBC2) and in 2009 has also filmed 'THE TEENAGERS GUIDE TO LIFE' BBC1 and 'LETS DANCE' for Comic Relief.

Into 2009 Sophie's media campaigns include launching a premium Green and White tipped tea range for TETLEY in Canada, this involved touring the country and being featured on various shows including Canada AM.  Her next campaign was with TEFAL VITACUISINE , where she devised recipes using their wonderful products including the inventive Actifry and finally she was an advising expert for the new HERBAL ESSENCES range.

She is currently working on a Peaches and Plums campaign,  for SOUTH AFRICA and will be visiting the beautiful country for the media tour in Febuary.

Sophie's consultancy and private cooking takes her travelling far and wide, most recently to South of France (for a cookery school) to Beirut for healthy eating lessons and restaurant consultancy. Sophie also was personal chef on set for one of Hollywood's leading actors while filming on location.

Sophie's next TV project is an exciting concept and is currently being formed in the U.S.
